Firstly, its safer, with a drone, no one needs to be put at risk.Secondly, there is no disruption to the site / building as there would be with a platform or scaffolding.
It's generally quicker and cheaper than arranging a MEWP or scaffolding.
Finally, we can get full coverage, accessing difficult to reach areas, capturing many high resolution images and video clips, then use software so you can zoom in and out of the images for your roof and inspect in very clear detail.
Short answer... YES!
Rules have relaxed recently so there will be more new comers to the arena offering cheaper inspections without having completed the training and examination previously required.
All our pilots and operators are CAA approved with GVC (General Visual Line of Site Certificate) and A2 CofC qualified, for your peace of mind.
We also have an extensive range of commercial grade drones and survey equipment, with the experience and technical knowledge to provide a full solution to our clients.
Finally, we are a Ltd registered company, VAT registered and fully insured.
It is recommended to check these things before hiring a drone operator!
As we work externally, we do not need access to your home. We may need access to the garden, but will mainly work from the area directly outside your house.
Technology has advanced and we follow strict procedures ensuring all drone inspections are completed safely. If for some reason we feel the drone survey cannot be completed safely, we will let you know.
All of our drone operators are fully trained and experienced in this type of work.

Yes. The majority of our work is B2B. The larger or more difficult to access the better, this is where drone surveys really provide benefit.
In general, residential roofs have a lifespan of circa 20 years. After that time they will deteriorate. Most home owner never check their roof!
Ideally you should check them every 1 - 2 years as a minimum to keep on top of maintenance issues before they become more costly problems.
The drone pilot that attends your property will likely not be a qualified surveyor. They will know how to collect detailed and accurate data for a surveyor to produce a detailed report.
We have chartered surveyors who will assess the images of your property and draft a schdule of defects report.
Of course. We specialise in the collection of accurate detailed data. Your surveyor can access the data in our platform in order to complete their appraisal of the condition of your property. They can also meet us on site and watch a live feed suring the inspection if required.
Once the imagery is collected, we will process it and create a 3D model. This is hosted on our cloud based inpsection platform. You will be given access. You simply need a PC or tablet with internet access. No special software requred. Video guide will also be provided to help you get the most from the platform.
Images and video will be made available for download for your own reference. The inspection platform data will be available for 12 months guranteed. After 12 months the information is generally out of date. If you were to book a further inspection, all data will be retained for a further 12 months from the date of the most recent inspection.
